Low notes and bass lines become slides and ducks under barriers.
Voxa Run is an independent mobile game studio in Bradford. We design rhythm runners for Android in which every move lands on a beat of the music, whether it is a jump, a slide or a turn.
Our tracks are built from the music outward. The course is shaped by the song, so learning a level feels like learning a tune.
Each course is planned to last the length of a single song. Missing a beat slows the runner down rather than ending the run, so players can always reach the finish and improve next time. Visual cues mirror the audio, and a mode with stronger visual beats is planned for players who prefer to play with the sound off.
Our first set of courses is being built around original instrumental pieces in different styles, from brass band marches to slow electronic tracks. Difficulty can be chosen per course, and a practice mode lets players slow a song down to learn a tricky passage before running it at full speed. Progress, best times and unlocked courses are stored on the phone and the courses can be played offline. Leaderboards are not planned for the first release; the aim is simply to finish a song a little more cleanly than last time.

The melody sets steady running and timed jumps over gaps.
High notes and cymbals trigger quick turns and leaps between platforms.
